Questions

When is my BAS due?

Quarterly BAS are generally due on the 28th of the month after the quarter (28 Oct, 28 Feb, 28 Apr, 28 Jul) — but lodge through a registered agent like us and you usually get a few extra weeks. Monthly lodgers are due on the 21st. We track the dates so you don't have to.
Should I lodge monthly or quarterly?

Most small businesses are quarterly; you're required to go monthly once GST turnover hits $20 million, and some choose monthly to smooth out cash flow. We'll help you pick what suits.
I'm behind on my BAS — can you help?

Absolutely, and it's more common than you'd think. We'll get the outstanding statements prepared and lodged, and with a former ATO executive on the team we're well placed to sort out any penalties or a payment arrangement. Judgement-free zone.
Do you lodge it for me, or just prepare it?

We lodge it. As your registered tax/BAS agent we prepare and submit it to the ATO — you just approve it.
Do I need to be registered for GST?

You must register once your GST turnover reaches $75,000 ($150,000 for non-profits), and you can choose to register earlier. Not sure where you sit? Have a quick chat with us and we'll sort it.
What if I can't pay my BAS?

Lodge anyway — lodging and paying are two separate things, and lodging on time keeps you on the ATO's good side. We can then set up a payment plan with the ATO so it's manageable.
